Draft
Terms of service
Draft. Not legal advice. Not final.
Written 21 August 2026 by a developer describing how the game actually behaves. No lawyer has read it. Several clauses a real agreement needs are missing on purpose rather than guessed at, and section 9 lists them.
1. What you are agreeing to
Bakery Wars is a game, offered as a service by Omega Software Solutions LLC. This agreement is between you and that company, and “we” means them throughout. You get a licence to play the game on your own device. You do not get ownership of the game, its code, its text or its art, and the account you play on remains an account on our server.
2. Your account
The game signs you in as a guest, and the credential sits on your device. Losing the device can mean losing access to that account, which is a real consequence of not asking you for an email address. Keep one account per person and do not sell or share access to it.
3. Crystals, coins and what money buys
- Crystals are bought with money. Coins are earned by playing. Crystals never convert into coins, in either direction, and no amount of money buys an outcome off another player.
- Crystals buy an oven slot, by the week or outright; a bake finished early; and things to look at, which are an apron, a shopfront sign, a hat and a letterpress recipe card. There is a ceiling on ovens and everybody shares it. None of them makes your bread sell faster.
- No purchase resolves at random. The rare-ingredient crate is the only thing that could roll, and it does not: it holds three ingredients and gives you all three, every time. The shop will not sell you one either, though the list of things for sale behind it still has it on. There is no loot box in this game and no plan to add one.
- Nothing bought with crystals deals you a hand at a mini-game, re-deals one, or changes how one scores. One mini-game would be dealt by a bake, and that mini-game is switched off. No bake the game can run is long enough to open it anyway. If it is ever switched on, buying an oven will affect how many hands you are dealt in a day. That is an open design question rather than a settled one.
- Crystals and coins have no cash value, cannot be redeemed for money, and cannot be traded for money outside the game.
4. Refunds
Purchases run through Google Play. Google's own refund policy governs them, and it is published by the store rather than by us. The store makes the decision on a refund, not this game.
5. How players treat each other
Undercutting a rival, taking a block and calling a war are all part of the game and none of them is harassment. Harassment is what happens outside those systems: slurs, threats, sexual content, targeting a person rather than a bakery. Names you choose for a bakery, a guild or yourself are visible to other players and are held to the same line. The fiction is PG-13, and it never depicts a real crime organisation, a real family or a real person.
6. Cheating
The server decides every outcome and treats the client as untrusted input, so modifying the app mostly wastes your own time. Automating play, exploiting a bug rather than reporting it, or interfering with the service can cost you the account.
7. The service can change
Prices, recipes, blocks and rules get rebalanced, and features are added and withdrawn. A game in this shape is not frozen. Where a change removes something you paid for, the fair remedy is set out in the section counsel has yet to write, and it will not be a shrug.
8. No warranty
The game is provided as it is. It can be down, it can be late, and it can have bugs. It is a new release, and the first weeks of one are where most of the bugs turn up.
9. What is deliberately missing
- Governing law, jurisdiction and any dispute-resolution clause.
- The publisher’s registration number and registered address.
- Limitation of liability, indemnity, and the consumer-law carve-outs that vary by country.
- The termination and appeal process: what a ban means for crystals already bought, and how a player contests one.
- An effective date, and a record of changes to these terms.
